If you look at the photos I've attached when it's in use you'll see the cord does have some flex in it. It is important to note that RV wiring for the pedestal is a much lower gauge than most other wiring we mess with in our day-to-day so these will all be fairly stiff when compared to a typical extension cord you'd use around the house.
